29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system: (a) Jobsite - Roof section under construction: On or about 8/12/2015, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 48 feet to the lower level by utilizing a safety monitoring system on a low pitched roof, 60 feet wide, where mechanical equipment was being used. (b) Jobsite - Roof section under construction: On or about 8/12/2015, the employer did not ensure that each employee using a fall arrest system had their rope lanyard attached to a single anchor point. Diversified Roofing Systems, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314921271, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/8/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 245 Chapman Street, Providence RI 02905. |
