29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1): When information indicated that any employee's exposure equaled or exceed the 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer did not develop and implement a monitoring program. (a) Facility at 300 Armistice Boulevard in Pawtucket, RI: On or about February 7, 2023, staffing agency employees working on the shop floor were exposed to noise above the action level of 85 dBA for an eight hour TWA without being added to the monitoring program. OSHA noise dosimetry conducted on two staffing agency employees found the TWA noise levels to be 87.3 dBA for 426 minutes and 87.8 dBA for 410 minutes. Staffing agency employees were not included in a hearing conservation program (HCP) while regular employees working in the same area were on the HCP. |
