Complaint What Happened I Leased an XXXX XXXX in XXXX and as per XXXX tax laws paid the tax upfront for the full term of the lease at the beginning of the lease at the XXXX tax rate. Move forward 2.3 years. I moved to XXXX XXXX and informed Infiniti Finance of my move and new address. Within days my monthly payment went up by nearly {$30.00}. When i called them, they said it was sales tax for XXXX XXXX which had to be paid in accordance with XXXX XXXX taxation law for the remainder of the lease, i informed them that i had paid the tax upfront in XXXX at the beginning of the lease so why am i paying it again? They were very aggressive in outlining that i HAD to pay more tax in XXXX XXXX . I then went to the XXXX XXXX XXXX to register the car and met a XXXX tax assessor as part of the XXXX XXXX process of registration, i gave him all my details outlining the car was a lease taken out in XXXX , he then gave me a tax-exempt certificate stating i had already paid tax on the vehicle in full in XXXX and that no tax was due in XXXX XXXX . I then called Infiniti Finance and explained what the tax assessor in XXXX XXXX had said but i dont think the lady believed me and again gave me the same response that i HAD to pay the tax in accordance with XXXX XXXX tax law and that the XXXX XXXX tax assessor at the XXXX did not know what he is talking about. I then sent a scanned copy of the tax-exempt certificate to Infiniti Finance. No one called me or emailed me. I then noticed when I logged into my account that my payment had been adjusted back to where it was before I moved to XXXX XXXX . When I called Infiniti they said that I did not have to pay tax in XXXX XXXX because it was paid in XXXX and that I was exempt as I had said. Infiniti Financial are a huge finance company, my worry is that they do not understand the tax laws between different states in the USA. They charge not knowing the requirements and the consumer unknowingly is paying a tax to Infiniti Finance twice that is not required and I also suspect that they will never see those tax dollars again. I certainly doubt that Infiniti will refund the money at their own will.

Complaint What Happened My car was repossessed on XXXX XXXX, 2015 .I had made a payment via phone and the repossession company would not allow me to contact Infiniti to try to clarify this but took the car. Following discussion with Infiniti reinstatement department, I made an additional payment as they required on XXXX XXXX, 2015 which reinstated the loan. Because the car loan was in my husbands name, they stated that the car could only be released to him. XXXX In following future conversations they informed me that my husband could send them power of attorney. I downloaded a legal XXXX form and my husband faxed it .It had to be refaxed several times until it met the criteria for their legal dept. They would not advise us of the legal language they required, they would not allow us to speak to this legal dept. Each time there was 2-7 days between their receipt of the fax and response from the legal department. In the mean time without any notification to my husband, even though the loan had been reinstated, the car was moved out of state to auction. When I was finally able to determine that the legal dept had given permission for me to retrieve the car, I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX and they said my car had been sent to auction. Finding out where the car was took another process, reaching them another process, XXXX XXXX informed me that my plate was no longer on the car and I could not pick up the car without a plate. No one knew where my plate was. I called Infiniti, they take no responsibility. Even though my loan had been reinstated, no one had put some " reference number " in the computer. At no time did anyone ask me for any reference number- my payment which was made via money gram was clearly recorded in their system. Their process is very malicious. I thought my husband had made a payment initially until I received a singular call from Infiniti XXXX on XXXX XXXX, 2015 and I made a payment on XXXX XXXX XXXX, 2015. Infiniti is not required to notify you of their intent to repossess, so you can rectify the problem. Their reinstatement department is very poor, they do not inform or explain or do anything to assist the customer. I explained to them several times that I have XXXX and XXXX so I am very ill.

Complaint What Happened Customer ID : XXXX To Whom It May Concern : I was hoping it wouldnt get to this, but Im at a loss on what needs to happen to resolve this experience from XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I stepped into the XXXX dealership in XXXX, XXXX with the intention of finding out options on buying out OR returning my leased XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was provided with quotes that included loan payment options ranging from XXXX months. I was told multiple times that I should go down the financing path, if I wanted to keep the XXXX. I explained I have a HELOC that I would use to pay off the full amount and purchase the car fully. At that time, it was explained to me that the market value selling price was XXXX ; my payoff price would be that plus a XXXX buyout fee, in addition to a XXXX termination fee. All in all, I was told it would be upwards of XXXX. I have all the paperwork showing this. I asked repeatedly what the remaining balance on the loan wasI was told repeatedly that the market value selling price is that cost of the car. Upon closing of the conversation, I was told that the dealership wouldnt be able to process any full buyouts and they couldnt only help with financing or lease termination options. I was basically dismissed with a sheet of paper that I learned was full of misquotes. Complaint # 1 : I was blatantly lied to repeatedly upon calling XXXX XXXX, I was told the buyout price is actually XXXX. My experience at XXXX, as usual, was belittling and uncomfortable. Being a female in that environment is uncomfortable as it is, but I feel targeted and taken advantage of having this been my first lease experience, I believe I was taken advantage of and quoted an inflated amountlet alone pressured to finance vs. just buy out the vehicle. I called XXXX XXXX and asked for a XXXX month lease extension to figure out what to do. I made the decision to leverage my Home Equity Line of Credit to buy out the car in full, hoping to sever any open ties with XXXX, because of this XXXX experience. I downloaded the payoff letter, which advised that XXXX can not take a personal check and can only take a bank check. On XX/XX/XXXX, I had an official bank check ( XXXX XXXX : XXXX ) created for the quoted payoff amount. I called the dealership to make sure one last time they cant take the payment, explaining that Im on my last lease day. I was told its all set, they cant take the payment, and as long as I overnight it, I should be all set. I ran to the XXXX store, paid XXXX $ and overnighted the check. Complaint # 2 : apparently, I was lied to, again, by the dealership. They COULD have taken the check and I was NOT all set. Around XXXX days passed, I kept checking the status of the check with XXXX Bankthey kept telling me it wasnt cashed. The stress mounted. Then, the collection calls started. I was at a loss. I did what I was told to do, I sent in the check, overnighted, to the address on file. I noted the account # on the check as well as the mileage. XXXX noted the check was delivered and signed for, but no one at XXXX knew where it was. Days passed, collection calls continued. Spoke to almost a dozen people filed claims on claims. Claim # s I could find : XXXX Then got the letter with the check attached, which was sent regular mail, on XX/XX/XXXX. Letter attached to this email. Dated XX/XX/XXXX : Need mailing instructions and signed/dated odometer statement. I was told to return the check with this information. By the way, I did give the odometer info and the mailing instructions? Is that a joke? You knew the address to send the letter to me. Complaint # 3 : seriously? No one could tell me this over the phone? I had to wait WEEKS to learn this? My credit score deteriorated, NO other forms of payment available. I just sat there with my hands tied. I couldnt bring the check to the dealership, couldnt drop it off for processing anywhere. Fees accruing, credit score dropping. And all the while, HARASSED by the collections department. I asked for a manager 4x to finally get to someone, not that they gave me any new information same XXXX being sold to me, just a different day. BACK WENT THE CHECK on XX/XX/XXXX : overnighted again. XXXX $ this time. Delivered and signed for, as the first. Still not cashed. I asked for the collection calls to stop. They did, but then the emails started. Then came the final doozy. Received in the mail XX/XX/XXXX, letter dated XX/XX/XXXX. CHECK RETURNED AGAIN. Literally a sick joke. Now, XXXX is an indirect lender and cant sell directly to a consumer. Where was this information literally the last XXXX months?! Completely contradicting information to every letter, every call, everything. Now Im being told to contact the dealer. Credit score further declining. Stress level rising. Im a mom of XXXX with a fuller than full time job. I work as a XXXX XXXX XXXX at a large financial institution. I have never experience such incompetence in my lifeand I usually laughed at people that wrote these types of correspondences. Im sitting here shaking and crying, because I dont know what else to do. My request : Take.this.check.from.me. in the original payoff amount from XXXX. I will drop it off anywhere, but I do NOT want to speak to anyone re : this. I have spent cumulatively XXXX hours between calls, post office, bank, complaints, claims, etc. At work, I am compensated XXXX $ an hour. If I really wanted to be unreasonable, Id have you compensate me for the time spent on this ridiculousnessas well as the XXXX overnighting fees. Remove.any.and.all.credit.dings. nothing was late. Not even a day. You are ruining my credit score. This is sort of a joke, but XXXX, let me fix your process. I do this for a living. Ive reduced these types of customer complaints by XXXX % y-o-y. Your brand will thank me for it. The person sending me back these checks nonstop could have emailed, called, sent a XXXX pigeon. ANYTHING. I expect resolution within the next XXXX business days, max. Thanks, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Complaint What Happened It all started with emails. XX/XX/XXXX I asked XXXX XXXX from XXXX Nissan south if there are ever incentives to turn in a lease to then buy a used car. I told him right off the bat that I need to get either my payments, gas, or insurance cheaper because our dog with XXXX has increased our bills significantly. I went into XXXX Nissan XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to discuss in person with XXXX about my options. I still had 4 lease payments due for my XXXX XXXX XXXX lease. I asked him about purchasing a used XXXX and he informed me that if I did that, the remaining lease payments would not be paid for the XXXX and that my best option is to lease a new XXXX. We went back on forth on price quite a bit, me having to constantly remind him of the whole reason Im turning the XXXX in early ( too much dog debt ). We finally agreed on a price and eventually I signed for the new lease and I thought that was it. I clearly asked XXXX if my XXXX is now all set and remaining payments waived. He said yes, 2 are waived by Nissan itself and 2 are being covered bu XXXX Nissan XXXX. A week or so later I received my {$700.00} check for 2 payments on my XXXX. Paid that and assumed its over. Fast forward to XXXX and when I go online to check out my excise ( property ) tax bill for last year I see there are still 2 remaining payments due on my account! And even worse, after 2 months, the XXXX had not even been grounded, making me responsible for it still!!!! I would have owed over {$21000.00} for a car that is no longer in my possession. The lady I spoke with at corporate was very concerned and suggested I IMMEDIATELY get XXXX Nissan XXXX to ground the Pathfinder and release my liability. The next day after speaking with XXXX via text I then received a copy of the grounding statement from the finance guy. XXXX had also told me that the XXXX will be all set and i wont be held accountable. Well thats great its grounded but he never took off the remaining 2 payments!! I NEVER would have turned in my lease early if I still would have owed payments. Someone coming into a car dealership nearly crying that the bills are too high and I need to lower them would never agree to {$700.00} extra. I was absolutely take advantage of, and feel like XXXX Nissan XXXX is giving me the runaround for something that should never have been a problem and should not have been my burden to bear in the first place.
