On XXXX I received a text message from phone number XXXX that my SOFI loan was in process, but that additional information was required to secure the loan. The message included a link to complete the application. I had not started a loan application or any inquiry into a loan application and I assumed this was a fraudulent text. I replied STOP to opt out of any future correspondence. Aprox. XXXX minutes later I received another text notifying me that the loan had funded. On XX/XX/22 I received multiple calls from XXXX phone number XXXX requesting information to complete another loan application. This prompted me to check my credit report. Upon which time I noticed that SOFI had pulled my credit on XX/XX/22. I called SOFI and learned that a personal loan in the amount of {$12000.00} had been dispersed to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. SOFI had all of my personal information on file ( XXXX, XXXX, Home Address, Phone, etc. ) I notified SOFI that this was a case of identity fraud and as of XX/XX/22 my case was being reviewed by their Fraud Dept. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank and spoke to XXXX XXXX ( phone XXXX ) who works in their Fraud Dept. He confirmed that the funds had been received at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and that bank account XXXX was under the name XXXX XXXX. SOFI keeps forwarding me to their Fraud Investigative Team phone number ( XXXX ) that goes straight to voice mail. I can not get a valid case number or confirmation number and they will not give me a phone number or email address to call them directly. The funds have already been dispersed and I want this transaction wiped from my credit and all of my personal information removed from XXXX XXXX.

I co-signed my wife 's student loan re-finance with SoFi in XXXX of 2018. At the time, we were informed that after 12 months of payments, I could be released from the loan. However, today I was informed by a SoFi employee that SoFi doesn't offer co-signer release. We were completely misled by SoFi.
This is directly from the SoFi website : Though it never hurts you to keep a co-signer, you can offer releasethe official terminology for removing that person. Maybe your co-signer was happy to help you get approved, but after a certain amount of time wants out due to stress or even just a change of mind.

I initiated a loan payment as an ACH transaction on my lender 's site, debiting from my SoFi Money account. The payment debited my account a few days later.
I received a follow-up email from my lender that the payment was returned, and assessing me a fee. The payment was still debited from my SoFi Money account.
I attempted to resolve this with the lender, and they were insistent that they received a payment returned for " No Account / Unable to locate account '' and to contact my bank.
I called SoFi only to be told that they didn't return the payment, my lender is wrong. The only " assistance '' I could get from SoFi was being told I used the wrong routing number. I verified the routing number used on the payment was the correct one, and they had no further help or ideas.
No one will help to try and resolve this. SoFi has stolen over {$1000.00} from me.

On XX/XX/2018, I applied to refinance my student loans with SoFi and was denied. According to the adverse action notice, the people at SoFi " carefully reviewed my application '' and could not currently grant me credit. The reasons are unknown, because I need to submit a letter to them requesting them. This is very unfair, as I believe they should automatically tell me these reasons in an adverse action letter.
The company did a soft credit pull and put this information on the adverse action letter. The credit score there was lower than any score I've ever had ( I frequently check - my score is typically in the 720-750 range, and this was less than 700 ) and noted serious delinquency. When I looked at my free credit report, there was no indication of any delinquency at all. If this was a reason I got denied, then this is ridiculous since it is untrue.
I did speak with someone when I originally applied, and they stated my working less than 2 years would be a reason for denial. I have worked a little over a year and a half because I graduated college two years ago and spent a semester in grad school. I found a job within weeks of leaving school, and was " unemployed '' for less than 2 months. I don't understand how a company that works to refinance student loans can penalize an applicant for working less time because the time up to when I started working was made up of me attending college, which is why I have the loans in the first place. This seems very unfair.
