Complaint What Happened So I had just opened the card earlier this year or the ending of last year and havent used it so sometime in XXXX- XXXX I called to see what my limit was and they said I had a current balance of {$1200.00} and it was shocking because I have t used it I called to make a compliant and filing fraud I even spoke to the merchant where the card was used and they cant pull up a transaction because it was never used I have proof of that conversation but prosper keeps saying Im still at fault I havent used the card so I shouldnt be held responsible for using a card I didnt even use

Complaint What Happened Received a Text XX/XX/XXXX at XXXXXXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, regarding a matter that their office is handling. I click the link and add the agency ID XXXX. It then brings me to an account that states I owe an alleged debt for {$10000.00}. The Original Creditor was Prosper Funding LLC., assignee of XXXX, who previously charged off the alleged debt. I have no contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I do not owe them anything I do not know who they are. They are communicating a false debt under 15 USC 1692e ( 8 ). They are communicating False representation. All caps name, stating consumer owes debt 15 USC 1692b ( 2 ). They are in Communication without prior consent violation of 15 USC 1692c ( a ). They are using false, deceptive or misleading representations in violation of 15 USC 1692e. They are using obscene/profane language accusing me of owing an alleged debt which is violation of 15 USC 1692d ( 2 ). The communication between XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and Prosper Funding LLC., assignee of XXXX, about me is in direct violation of my privacy per the Privacy Act of 1974

Complaint What Happened So I applied for the prosper credit card in the beginning of the year and got approved I had the card in my bag that I lost in a XXXX XXXX I called all my cards got them locked and spoke to prosper and they told me they will issue me a new card but then a couple days later found out it was used so by law if I called before it was used I shouldnt be held responsible I told them that I have emails of them stating I am still responsible for the charges even tho it was considered fraud to me that was unbelievable that they dont follow the Federal law that says youre not responsible to pay for charges or withdrawals made without your permission if they happen after you report the loss. Its important to act fast. Then they still proceeded to permanently close my account without notifying me which will damage my credit when Im in the process of fixing it and buying a new house they threaten that it will show up on my credit report if I dont make payments

Complaint What Happened I applied for {$30000.00} unsecured personal loan with prosper on Sunday and was told on Monday that I was approved and was just waiting for funding by one of their agents. Later that evening at about XXXXXXXX XXXX I received an adverse action notice from the company, stating they could not provide me with financing, because of a technical error on their behalf, and nothing to do with me. I dont called the company the next day to follow up to have the issue rectified. I have worked with multiple agents and supervisors to correct the issue. I pre-submitted my application multiple times, and it keeps coming back with the same excuse technical issue and again it has nothing to do with me personally however, its still denying my application for no fault of my own. I feel that I am being treated unfairly and discriminated against at this point in time, because they can not provide me with any reason why my application would be denied on my end. I keep getting different answers from different people, but nobody will take responsibility for it and its made no progress.

Complaint What Happened It all started in XXXX when my personal information was used fraudulently to apply for unemployment benefits at the company I work for an have ownership in. This was reported to the RI XXXX XXXX, and FTC and to RI XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. None of which ever followed up with me. Not a single call, nor email response. Eventually through my persistence, RI XXXX XXXX XXXX acknowledged the issue. Since then, my XXXX XXXX account has shown numerous fraudulent inquiries in XXXX, starting in XX/XX/XXXX and now several in XX/XX/XXXX showing on XXXX and XXXX. I've been able to receive cooperation with all credit bureaus for removal of credit inquiries and also filing fraud complaints with exception of XXXX that does not want to help or extend any customer service to correct the problem. In essence, I have lost about 12 days or more of work over this issue calling the various companies, banks, financial companies, websites, etc. all because of the very companies that are always asking for my info, and breach my personal details. This is victimization in its purest form from the same companies that are rating consumers and judging consumers in the first place. The system is broken. At this time, I have maintained Excellent credit, however I still have several XXXX credit inquires which are damaging my credit score and on their fraudulently. It's nearly impossible to reach Propser Bank and also impossible to reach XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX never mind get any cooperation from either bank, nor XXXX. I have also had to now Freeze all credit reporting agencies which will be a problem for me in the future when I need to apply for credit.

Complaint What Happened I believe my identity was compromised due to the data breaches from XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX. Further, I believe that there are situations arising from that fact that my SSN is one of a sequential sibling numbering and two of my siblings are deceased. That coupled with the fact that I have an ex who knows my SSN and personal information and a relative of one of my deceased siblings who also know that information, that debt has been obtained in my name using new accounts and existing accounts. I want to see all of the information used to obtain this debt and make charges against it. I want all pertinent information used to verify identity and approve this debt. I am concerned that debt was authorized in my name without verifying it was me seeking the debt and getting benefit of it.

Complaint What Happened On XX/XX/year>, I contacted [ Lender Name ] regarding my loan ( # XXXX ) when my balance was {$1200.00}. I have already repaid more than I originally borrowed, yet the balance continues to increase due to excessive interest charges. On XX/XX/year>, after failing to reach a resolution, I sent a cease and desist letter requesting that all communication be stopped. However, the company continued to correspond via email through XX/XX/year>, disregarding my formal request. Between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/year>, I made three separate attempts to negotiate a settlement due to extreme financial hardship and recently incurred medical debt. The company refused to negotiate or offer any assistance despite my good-faith efforts. Instead, my balance has now increased to {$1300.00}, even though I have already repaid more than what I borrowed. As of today, the loan is 76 days past due, and the companys refusal to work with me has led to continued financial hardship. I am seeking immediate resolution, including removal of excessive interest charges and a fair settlement. Additionally, I ask that the company be held accountable for violating my cease and desist request by continuing to contact me.
