Jobsite: On or about March 22, 2017 the employer allowed for the voluntary use of elastomeric air purifying respirators (3M 6500 Series) on the jobsite without implementing the necessary elements of a written respiratory protection program such as medical evaluations and inspection, care and maintenance. Employees on the jobsite were not evaluated to be medically qualified to wear a tight fitting respirator while performing demolition work.
