Citation text line | OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by or crushed by a new residential wall that was not properly lifted or braced. (a) At the construction site a newly framed second story residential wall was being lifted by employees. Employees could not lift the wall at the time and the wall fell back on top of two employees trapping them under the wall. The Foreman had to get more help on site, including the fire department to help lift the wall off the trapped employees. |
